One of the best places to really chill, take sun bath, chill at beach and at pool. Staff was really helpful, facilities were good, though they can be increased. Best thing of the resort was hanging shacks and balcony. Personalized attention for vegetarians for breakfast.

The Thai food at the restaurant was very tasty and the staff willingly replaced the juice in breakfast with a plate of fresh fruit. They also provided us a reasonably priced transportation to the airport. Given that it was the low season -- the oppressive April hot muggy weather -- and we were a few kilometers from the nearest community, the resort was nearly empty and thus quiet. Next to the hotel is a lovely Buddhist complex, the oldest on the island.

Super close to airport, pier is close for tours to north islands I recommend "funny days Tours" they operate from the pier close to hotel. Remember Grab App for grab eats! and Grab Transport. (Like Uber / Uber eats) Great Vegan options at Tembo! If you want some pizza use grab app for "the hungry Wolf" one of the best pizza's I've had in a long time. Tembo was absolutely amazing! Also close to Fishermans Village which is a must do! Thank you, Tembo! You will forever be an incredible memory for us.

My room was beautiful and comfortable! I had a nice view, a jacuzzi, bathroom with shower and bath along with a nice window into the bedroom, and a super comfy bed. The pools, beach and dining options were great overall. The app is really good to use and buggies were always available to take you to and from places. I also loved the spa and did 2 treatments there. The staff are all so kind and helped with every request we had, including arranging taxis and suggesting where else to go.

We loved everything about this hotel. The room was exactly how it looked in the photos, our pool was amazing and the bed was so comfortable. The Christmas party was so much fun and the hotel was decorated beautifully. On a really practical note the location was great for getting to other places on the island and the buffet breakfast was incredible. Obviously we would go back in a heartbeat.

Loved our stay here! We saw some negative comments regarding no food/drinks being served and the pool being dirty so we were skeptical. However, they had a HUGE menu with many options and could tell the pool was being cleaned daily. The beds were a little hard but otherwise we loved our stay. The staff were also very nice and smiled at us everyday.

Everything was wonderful. We went here for our honeymoon and from the moment we were greeted to the moment we checked out we felt like we were in paradise. We did a lot of research before picking our hotel and, looking back, would not change a thing. We even visited some of the other nearby hotels at similar price points and we were extremely satisfied with our choice. We loved the special details (tea at nighttime, soaps on demand, cold water at served at the beach) in this beautiful setting. We picked SALA Choengmon for a few reasons: the beautiful beach (clean, soft sand instead of rocks, some cute snorkeling), the resourceful neighbourhood (great to get basics and even not-so-basics like a haircut), the service, the water sport amenities, the fact that it didn't seem like a totally western-style generic resort, and the luxury feel of the rooms. Don't expect a cookie-cutter hotel room here - they have purposely made the design so that you wake up looking out into beautiful trees full of flowers and birds, going to the restroom feels like going to the spa, and you can really disconnect. The rooms don't really have a large / comfortable table to work on (they have a narrow desk) but there is a library and plenty of tables in the common areas - this was a plus for us as it really felt like a special holiday. We also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, still dreaming of their delicious acai bowls. As it is not a huge property, don't expect endless buffet options - they are curated, delicious, still plenty of good choice between Western and East-Asian, and we really appreciated that the hotel seems to take food waste reduction seriously. We also did the Thai buffet for dinner one night and there were too many delicious options to choose from. Hope to be able to return one day!

The place to stay! Location+Room+Price+Staff+Food Everything was superb, everybody is very friendly, the room was clean at every hour, I really don’t understand how other guest’s review could be negative.. If you like the beach life and the nightlife this is the place stat.. or stay home! :-) Thank you! My best regards.

wonderful hotel. the hosts are very kind, I got the impression that I came to my distant relatives, and not to the hotel. the room is very clean, large comfortable bed, in general, everything is as in the picture. there is a swimming pool on the first floor. recommend this place to stay.

very large, comfortable, cozy, very tastefully decorated rooms. a small hotel so you don t get the crowd. i had the best crème brûlée ever and their chicken with cashew nuts was so god that i had it every day

The breakfast is great. the pool side location is a great place to relax. best that it is located right at the beach. Staff are well english spoken and helpful for booking taxi to airport/pier. Clean rooms. good for dinner/lunch as well
