My knees were sore after some hikes and the staff was able to provide ice for me. We also were easily able communicate with the staff.

Good location very close to the harbor and 10-15 minutes by car to the airport. You can walk around Horta. Nice staff. Although the breakfast is not included they offer coffee for free. Alice is a wonderful host. She was very helpful with organizing transport to the Caldeira. She also offers to do laundry for free, which I found very nice. The house is on the hill, offering a nice view on Pico and surrounded by a well-kept garden. The walk from the harbour to the house is a bit steep. I considered it to be a nice workout but for some people it may be easier to reach with a car.
