From the moment we arrived the hotel took our breath away even before we saw our room. I booked this hotel for my brother's birthday and the staff made this honestly a stay to remember. We used the bikes and went on a bike ride and we had an onsen in our room which was great as my brother has tattoos. The view from our room was beautiful! On the night of our meal our waitress asked to take a picture of us which she then had printed and framed and put on our table for breakfast which was such a lovely memorable touch!

The futon was comfortable and the food really good both at dinner and breakfast. The priest welcomed me and walked me to the tomb of the master of Minobu, and also helped me to explain how to participate in the morning prayers at the main hall. I wish I could have stayed there for a few days.
