Attractively situated in Kyoto, THE GENERAL KYOTO Shijou Shinmachi features an American breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. This 4-star hotel offers room service and a 24-hour front desk.... Huge room, everything was super new and nice with everything you need. The lounge with free drinks and snacks was a nice add on. Staff was super helpful and welcoming. Good location with a subway station and buses nearby. Will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic 3-night stay in Gion, the best hotel we’ve stayed at on our trip to Japan. Rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and the hotel has everything you need (laundry and ice machine, and any extra amenities on ground floor). Staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have, and allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel before check-in and also for a few hours after check out. The location is perfect to explore central Kyoto and only a 10-min walk to the Chion-in Temple and Maruyama Park.

In a prime location in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO is located 1.2 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 1.1 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo... Best hotel we stayed in for Japan! We booked a standard double bed and the room was huge! We were happy we did not upgrade upon arrival as there was no need to in the end. We were sorry we didn't stay here longer and do a day trip or two to Osaka instead, as Osaka is only a 15 min Bullet Train ride and every hotel after this was a let down as they were so cramped and more expensive. There's so much to do in Kyoto too! The bar upstairs is unbelievable and the cocktails and mocktails were unreal. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so lovely!

Aamupala oli todella monipuolinen ja riittoisa. Ravintolan tilat olivat tilavat ja viihtyisät ja peilasivat mukavasti hotellin teemaa. Sijainti oli rauhalline ja lähellä rautatieasemaa, jolla pääsi helposti Kioton aseman kautta kulkemaan ympäriinsä. Yksityiskylvyt tarjosivat hyvän vaihtoehdon rentoutumiseen, vaikka kiireelliseen aikaan niihin joutuikin jonottamaan hetken. Välipalaa oli tarjolla vuorokauden ympäri, eikä hotellilta juurikaan olisi ollut tarvetta poistua majoittumisen aikana.

Alkaen NOK 227 per yöSijainti oli rauhallinen, mutta silti lähellä Nijon asemaa. Ympärillä oli paljon ravintoloita ja Kioton keskustaan ja nähtävyyksiin pääsi nopeasti. Majoitus oli viihtyisä ja siisti. Tilat olivat pienet, mutta se ei ole yllätys Japanissa. Yhteinen huone oli hyvä ja viihtyisä. Tommy-san oli todella mukava ja ystävällinen. Täällä kehutut aamiaisleivät todella olivat erinomaisia! Lisäksi kiitos lainattavasta suoristusraudasta :)

Alkaen NOK 1 524 per yöPerinteinen pieni ryokan, joka ollut saman perheen yritys jo useita vuosikymmeniä. Majoituimme huoneessa, joka oli aiemmin ollut teeseremoniahuone. Japanilainen aamiainen oli erinomainen, myös erilainen jokaisena kolmena päivänä. Sympaattinen omistajapariskunta neuvoi paikallisliikenteestä ja kertoi Kioton nähtävyyksistä. Hyvät bussi- ja metroyhteydet kaupungin kaikille puolille.

Hotellihuone oli perinteinen japanilainen tatamipatjoineen ja yakataneineen. Huone oli tilava ( meitä oli neljä aikuista) ja hiljainen. Sijainti oli loistava, Kioton rautatieasemalle käveli n. 20 minuuttia ja keskusta oli myös kävelymatkan etäisyydellä. Palvelu oli todella ystävällistä ja matkalaukun sai jättää säilöön iltaan saakka.

Sijainti oli loistava, lähellä Kioton asemaa. Hotelli oli erittäin siisti. Buffet-aamiainen oli hyvä. Huoneen ikkunasta oli upea näköala Kiotoon. Erittäin hyvä hotelli tässä hintaluokassa.

Erittäin hyvä hintalaatu suhde! Hotellin sisustus ja huoneet ovat viihtyisät. Sijainti erinomainen, kävelymatkan päässä metrosta, kaupoista, ravintoloista ja monista Kioton nähtävyyksistä.

Perfect I love the interior, the spacious room, the design and everything. The location really in the middle of the crowded. Close to the famous temple and 1 minute to Yasaka pagoda My family love the room a looot, we can lying down all the day and forget to explore around, very comfortable.

The room was exceptional, big with comfy beds and big TV. We were greeted very nicely by the staff and completed the booking fast. Also, there were no problems with storing our luggage until the evening on the last day.
