The breakfast was amazing and the public onsen was beautiful.

Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

The experience was fantastic.we were greeted with such friendliness and when the monk realized we had an early start in the morning and we would miss the morning service of prayers. He gave a quick introduction and prayer in the afternoon. Thank you and sorry we couldn't say goodbye in the morning. The place was spotless with ultra modern toilet and bathroom and kitchenette. Our only regret was we didn't book for longer. Location very close to 7/11 and small walk into old town. Excellent. Please try and visit the small coffee shop opposite.run by the most friendly old couple who looked after us 1st thing in the morning while waiting to drop our cases off😊 Ps our futon was 100 times more comfortable than our last ryokan

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Onn nakatsugawa is set in Nakatsugawa, 13 km from Ōi and 13 km from Enakyo Wonderland. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. We stayed for one night after hiking part of the Old Nakasendo trail. We received a very warm greeting and got a strong positive vibe from the staff members throughout our stay. They really seemed to enjoy their job and passed some of that enthusiasm to their guests. In the evening we got free curry rice curry and snacks. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, both Western and Japanese style. The public bath was beautiful and had a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was quite spacious. The hotel is also conveniently located, ideal for getting on the bus towards the start of the trail and getting to Magome and Tsumago. We can 100% recommend staying at this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

First off - location. You couldn’t get a spot closer to the bus station if you tried! It’s super convenient. Second - the staff were amazingly helpful with our reservation and our queries regarding things to do and how to get to attractions in the area. Small but amazing hotel in the heart of Takayama. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the railway station and the downtown. The check-in was fast and easy, the staff explained in detail all facilities and services offered by the hotel. The room was tiny but comfortable, very clean. The breakfast was simply amazing, with many different dishes and drinks to choose from. Last but not least I really enjoyed the hotel hotel springs at the ground floor.
