The location was ideal for our needs, in the middle of the golden circle route, was able to tick off lots of sites, A car is essential though, Breakfast was perfect for what we wanted, when we asked about places to eat, The Greenhouse was recommended, we ended up going there every night, thanks for the tip. lots of parking space available, 3 or 4 separate communal areas available if we weren't wanting to stay in our bedroom, hopefully return to Iceland to finish off our tour, but will need to space out our hotels around Iceland, Thanks to all the staff at Hotel Kvika

Set in Hvolsvöllur, 7.7 km from Seljalandsfoss, Hotel Selja offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. Beds are good, shower is good, you have view from your window and Christine makes everything to be awesome. We had dinner at the hotel, which I super recommend to the ones arriving after 5pm in town, and breakfast was very very good too. It seems you are at someone’s house, not in a hotel. Not to mention. Definitely, the hotel to stay when doing the road ring in Iceland :)

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. modern and good location . amazing dinner lamb was awesome

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge. Good location, not too far from the ring road, but in the quiet countryside with great views. Dinner was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to see northern lights there.

Located in Hvolsvöllur, 16 km from Seljalandsfoss, Skálakot Manor Hotel provides accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This place is incredible. Friendly staff, beautiful, clean, spacious rooms, and located in one of the most gorgeous areas. One of our best breakfasts on our trip was at Skalakot. We wish we could have spent more than 1 night, and we were so glad we signed up for one of their horseback riding tours in advance. We would highly recommend it - it was our first time riding a horse in years, and was one of the most memorable experiences throughout the trip. If we ever get to come back to Iceland, we would absolutely return for another stay.

Located within 3 km of Kirkjugólf and Systrafoss twin waterfalls, Magma Hotel offers accommodation in Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Rooms are modern with Nordic design and free WiFi. Room was nice. Check in is located in the Restaurant on the property, so it took us a few to find check in. Room was comfy. Breakfast served was good and had your American and EUR favorites: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bread, pancakes, cookies, sandwich meat, beans(?), yogurt, coffee and juice. Cannot say anything about the view, since we arrived in the dark and left in the dark.
