The bed was VERY comfortable, the room spacious with a gorgeous view of the cathedral, the shared shower/bathroom was kept clean and though only 2 of each for floor, I never had to wait. the WiFi was fast and stayed connected, the staff was friendly and super helpful, the communal areas were comfortable and kept clean. I took advantage of storing my extra luggage for free while walking the Camino (second reservation required and happily made). Breakfast was great and to top it all off, my last breakfast was on their first anniversary and was extra great. Would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates a respectful atmosphere.

Water was hot,sheets and towels were provided. Bar and restaurant were part of the property. Great pilgrim meal offered, and breakfast included. The owners were charming and offered very helpful advice about hiking the Camino.

Hostel Bulwark has a shared lounge and a bar in Valenca do Minho. The rooms in the hostel are equipped with a TV. Each room includes a shared bathroom. A shared kitchen is available. This was probably the most beautiful hostel I've ever stayed at.

Featuring a garden, Sweet Swell in Porto is situated less than 1 km from Oporto Coliseum. Everything is well-designed, with all the right facilities, and offers great comfort. The manager is responsive, informative, and hospitable. Special props for developing a guide with relevant info on the hostel but also personally recommended sites and eateries. Light sleepers would benefit from earplugs for the street-adjacent dorm.

The House of Sandeman - Hostel & Suites is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, within the historic building of the Port Wine Cellars of Sandeman. The location was great, the common area , breakfast was good.
