Warm, genial owners-operators, excellent attention to details in the rooms. An excellent, large shower. A convenient on-premises breakfast and lunch restaurant let us host a breakfast for our adult children while our own breakfasts came with the room. Front desk was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and updated. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was bright and filled with nice smelling soaps. Breakfast was delicious and the menu varied everyday during our 4 days stay. The hotel is conveniently located near a very nice Chilis and Aldi’s. The location is great as all the attractions (Breakers and Marble Hill mansions, Cliff Walk, Wharf) is a short drive away (about 15 mins). My family and I enjoyed our stay here very much!

Stayed in Middletown to be close to Newport.
Stayed in Middletown to be close to Newport. It was the perfect distance away from the center of Newport. Middletown seemed to be more of a residential area and we didn't spend much time there, except to stay at the Inn.

Staff was pleasant.
Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was adequate and as represented. Shower could have been better. Door lock inoperable on last day. Needed new batteries. Excellent price. Good location. Overall, for a short stay in a high cost area, it was acceptable.

We were there for a wedding in newport
The hotel was only a few miles from the venue
It was also close to downtown newpirt and most 9f the sightseeing etc. There were restaurants and beaches very close. We enjoyed the smaller more intimate property
Would sef. Stay again
Fantastic walker friendly location near the cliff walk, from here you can walk to the vanderbilts mansion via the cliff walk gorgeous views, most rooms have sea view from one side and others view of large sea pond from the other side, easy to park, right by the main beaches of newport, can leave car at hotel and enjoy the beach, great even for winter days as one can walk by the cliff and beach,
Location was located very close to all the areas we wanted to go to. Areas like the Naval Officer training school for graduation, the waterfront od Newport, and area restaurants . Most were only 6-15 mins away by car. It was nice to have hot breakfast . The ladies worked very hard to keep food stocked and the area clean. Would stay again.
All restaurants we're in walking distance, there was a view of the ocean 30 feet from our door, beautiful flowers hanging above our room. Several parking spaces, The number one beach in Middletown RI is Second beach there is no other like it soft sand, no rocks, clear blue water, parking is right in front of the beach, big waves.

The Carriage House Inn is a quaint place to stay in Middletown, RI. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaner than any chain hotel I've ever stayed. It offers a light continental breakfast of ready made sandwiches with an assortment of grab and go pastries/protein bars. I would definitel
The room is spotless, roomy and comfortable. This motel is very convenient to Middletown or Newport. Walk to beach in 5 mins. Close to Salve Regina . The price is reasonable , The owners Jeff & Teri are exceptional. They're thoughtfulness is in every room. I love staying here!
Beautiful historical mansion. Big room with large four poster bed and pleasant bathroom. In small park with lovely trees and free parking. Not in center Newport but nearby, ideal to drive to the harbour or classic gilded age palaces in Newport.
The room is a nice size room and the bed was very comfortable. However, the room does need some updates(walls, bathtub). Location is perfect and close to the beaches and downtown. The price is a bit high for this type of hotel.
very nice location for the view of the beach. the breakfast at the Resturant across the street was very good. At the time, guest get a 10 percent discount with the room key. Plus, the hotel is super close to the cliff walk
Over the past six months, I've stayed in five different hotels in the Newport area (including Atlantic Beach Club, Sonesta, Harbor Base, Rhea's) this is the best overall in terms of value, location, and cleanliness.
The location was perfect for my cooking class, and the price was more reasonable than other hotels I’ve stayed at. It”s nice to be in downtown Newport, but it was very crowded due to 2 cruise ships in the harbor!!
Less expensive than the hotels in Newport, yet only a 15 minute drive from there. Good breakfast that has something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Beds were very comfortable with fresh, clean smelling linens.
Love that this hotel is off the beaten path. Very easy to get to Newport attractions! The pool was well-maintained and quiet- perfect to relax. We had view of the courtyard. Beds were comfortable! A great find.
The hotel is clean, very well maintained and located near the shopping center, fuel station and restaurants. The room is also very clean and very well equipped, esp. with nice Nespresso coffee machine!
Nice hotel near beaches. Great property. Lots of outdoor activities. The room was very large and comfortable. It has a small fridge and microwave. Bathroom large. Shower huge. Id stay again.
Hotel is very good and clean.
Location is a bit far from city center, but cliff walk is in walking distance. They have free shuttle service to the city center.
Room and bed werd very good. Parking at the hotel was good also.
Cleaning the sheets only when card was on the bed was a good idea to save the environment
