I cannot say enough good things about this charming little hotel. Only a one night stay and I wish it had been longer. The staff, the grounds, the rooms, the decorations, the views, and everything else about it far exceeded my expectations.

Everything! The staff are amazing-very attentive to ensuring a comfortable, serene, and enjoyable stay. We were lucky enough to spend 5 nights at Hotel Paco de Vitorino. The grounds are beautiful and include a large pool. The bed was 10 out of 10 for comfort. . It felt like we were on a retreat, yet close enough to drive to Ponte de Lima, Ponte de Barca, Guimaraes, Braga & explore the Minho region. It was an unforgettable experience!!! Thank you!! A lovely hotel. I arrived very early to check in but the wonderful lady at reception made me feel very welcome while I waited. Every member of the staff who we encountered were welcoming and smiling always. The room was very nice, very comfortable beds and a delightful balcony. We took advantage of the spa and had a pilgrims massage. Anna in the spa was Fantastic!
Our breakfast was very nice, many excellent options.
And the location is perfect. Near the old city and the Roman Bridge.

Ponte de Lima is a perfect place for a pilgrim on the Camino to take a rest day. Perfect place to get your laundry done properly, catch up with your sleep. Lots of nice restaurants to eat in. Many interesting alleys to walk through and enough sights to take in a day.

Ponte de Lima is a remarkably well-preserved, historically important village in Northern Portugal. It has been a crossroads for centuries. Probably for a Druids-like culture, definitely for the Romans, for hundreds of thousands of pilgrims walking the historic Camino (Caminho in Portuguese), as well as for people traveling east-to-west from the mountains to the Atlantic.
Today, Ponte de Lima continues to be an important crossroads as well as gathering space for walking & hiking, cyclists, various forms of boating (with a champion training center along the Rio Lima), horse riding, international gardening and more.
It's hard to fully explain how much cultural importance there is in Ponte de Lima for the Minho (region), Portugal (as a country), and, indeed, all of Europe in such a small village. Well worth visiting.
I spent three weeks there, fell in love with the village, and like it so much that I intend to move there.

The village is beautiful as well as the bridge, which we walked from end to end. There were several good restaurants to choose from. Everything is within walking distance. There are great sculptures spread throughout town. We would come again.

My wife and I have been visiting Ponte de Lima for 30 years.
My wife and I have been visiting Ponte de Lima for 30 years. It has changed and become much busier over the years. However, it has managed to retain its friendly low key ambience. It is still possible to recognise the town of years ago despite the changes. A truly lovely place.

Picturesque, regional town, with old architecture and great walks within the town and its hinterland. The town opens onto a broad riverfront with great views including of a historic multi-arched bridge which gives the town its name.

Ponte de Lima is a historic town, with a medieval and a Roman bridge across the Lima. Fascinating. We stayed there overnight as part of a Minho cycling trip (self-arranged).
Had a lovely supper at the Restaurante Encanada.
Quality of furnishings and facilities within the room was excellent. Excellent attention to detail and what we really appreciated was that it is just so nice to be able to make tea or coffee in your room - when you want to! Really difficult to find any fault. These are among the nicest rooms we've stayed in anywhere in Europe - or in North America! Excellent service and courtesy from Maria and her staff. Breakfast was excellent! Also, lots of car parking space at the back of the hotel - and space in front if needed!
The location is wonderful and large with plenty of places to explore, such as a gorge, vineyards, pools and even a chapel. The owner, who also designed the property was very welcoming and the place is a short drive from major attractions in north Portugal. Definitely the property has a lot a character, is authentic in maintaining its original appeal with all the new amenities that are available there and everything is curated to detail. One of the best places to relax and enjoy slow country life away from modern life.
We really enjoyed our stay at Guest House. Diana was extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast was great and we had a very quiet room (3rd floor, at the back of the hotel). Everything was extremely clean and nice. Rooms and fixtures are modern. Nice common area on each floor. The location was excellent - right in Ponte de Lima and few steps down to the river and Ecovia and many restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here. We would not hesitate to stay here again next time we visit Ponte de Lima.
the moment we arrived to the hotel we were immediately welcomed by a warm and comforting staff that made sure that made us feel part of the family. Francisco (The owner) himself gave us a private tour sharing his family legacy and fascinating history of great wineries. The hotel had a very authentic, warm and yet top notch design.
The whole property was sitting on a beautiful urban garden surrounded with vineyards equipped with a warmed swimming pool, bar, and a top dining room.

The location was incredible. An EASY walk to the historic center (10 minutes), yet also great to return to Arcozelo each night to a quieter part of the region. The family operating the property are wonderful. Their son, João, speaks near-fluent English. Yet they also had great patience with me as I struggled to learn more Portuguese. And the flowers? Oh my goodness. A sight to behold each morning.
We stayed in Casa da Oliveira, in the second location of Casas do Picoutinho. We loved everything. The houses are wonderfully decorated, the spaces inside/outside are well organized and clean. Every house has its own furnished porch, there are BBQs you can use and a nice pool. And of course the city of Ponte de lima is only 5 minutes away.
Can't wait to come back with friends for more days!
Sparkling clean, recently remodeled, comfortable beds, modern amenities. Beautiful terrace with great view. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Ponte de Lima. yes, there are the stairs, but you only have to carry your suitcases up once. without the stairs, you wouldn’t have the view, and there is no one above you. Highly recommend.
The location is perfect. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The facilities are super clean 👌
The restaurant is also very good.
The breakfast is soberb with lots of variety.
Hope to come back again!
It's the second time I have stayed in this hotel for sure. I recommend!!!
A big thank you to all staff ❤️🇵🇹
Casa de Travessa was better than we expected. Nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Christina went above and beyond in all instances and even showed us places around town that were good food with good value. She spoke English fluently, which was a bonus. We will definitely go back, as Ponte de Lima is a wonderful place.
Amazing stay, the host couple really make you feel at home!
The house, room, bathroom, and garden are impeccably clean and well maintained.
The location is the best neighborhood in Ponte de Lima, and easy walk into town.
We enjoyed the breakfast and even ate delicious home grown tomatoes from the garden.
This flat is in an excellent location. We met the owner for a few minutes who gave us our keys. We had our own bathroom and could have used the kitchen if we had been staying longer but we were only there for a night. Ponte de Lima is lovely and I would certainly recommend this place to stay in.
The hostess was very nice and sweet. There is free parking in the back and it is an easy 5 minute drive to the free parking lot at the center of Ponte de Lima. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean, the shower was very nice.
It was easy to enter, had all that I needed and the bed and shower were the best I’ve had in Portugal. Easy to access from the camino route. The owner was exceptionally helpful and love and spoke perfect English.
Very nice and modern Hotel walking distance to the center of Ponte de Lima; nice bedroom comfortable bed, very clean, quiet, close to the river; very good breakfast and staff always helpful and nice.
Excellent location, peaceful and attractive
House was spacious and well equipped.
Easy access to Ponte de Lima.
