Nice, clean hotel with good location for walking.
Food is OK, but nothing special. Classic selection.
We were there during Umag Trophy and they managed it very good. There were hundreds of kids, but everything went smooth.
Residence Garden Istra Plava Laguna will undergo a complete renovation and improvement, both of the accommodation capacities and the common areas in the building.
Located only 30 metres from the beach, Villa Rosetta in Savudrija provides guests with deckchairs and beach towels.

Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your hotel. The hotel is of the highest standard, the rooms and the view from them are the best I have ever seen. The gentlemen from the reception and the restaurant made every effort to make your stay at the hotel unforgettable. I recommend the best hotel in Selka.

matrass quality was not that good to sleep on a day before a big ultra run, and for the days to recover.
room temperature was also way to high around 24 25 °C while it was much cooler outside. even with the windows open it wouldnt cool down, and the air circulation system did not work while windows were closed.

Lovely seaside small town. Walkable and bikeable streets.
Lovely seaside small town. Walkable and bikeable streets. A few beaches nearby. Amazing restaurant strip on the seashore. Family friendly activities during the day. Day trips by boat to see dolphins. Friendly locals. A few older churches and bell tower, all free to visit. Not bustling, more of a relaxed vibe. Gorgeous views of the sea. A great day trip, or to stay for 2-3 nights. Bring a car but be prepared to pay for hourly parking by the sea as street parking is difficult (1.5 euro/hr, 31 euro 24 hrs).

Unfortunately we had terrible weather so our experience is not indicative of the norm. Umag appears to be the ideal place for families and tennis players. Lots of recreational activities (snorkeling, playing courts, rental for jet skis, ATVs etc.). There are walking & cycling paths along the built-up parts of the coastline from Katoro to Umag, but these are very crowded. There is a lot of bustle (and traffic) in the area even though there is a "mini train" to get around the various resorts. This is the place to go with other people to do stuff outdoors, and not to seek peace and quiet.

It's a good place for couples, but I'm glad I didn't bring my kids. Most beaches are super rocky and are not developed for families. Could use more varied cuisine, but pretty area and close to many wonderful wineries and olive oil makers. Locals are friendly. One resort seems to own the whole town and is obnoxiously big and intrusive

Umag is a very nice and small place, so you can go anywhere by walk. Prices in restaurants are totally fair. I’m suggesting you to visit Sea Star Festival, one of the biggest in that part of Croatia. Prices in stores are way too high.
The apartment was very nice, well equipped and very clean. Breakfast on the balcony was enjoyable. There are a few restaurants in the vicinity, so we got to enjoy dinners in an authentic Istrian konoba. The hosts were amazing, very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. They picked us up from the bus station and in the next 9 days offered us a ride to Umag several times. We also had the possibility to use their bicycles. It was also nice to run and walk in the area. The two cats in the yard made us smile every day.
What a stay!
This was definetly our best Booking expirience so far.
Fantastic Marina as our host was more than welcoming. She waited us with open arms, big smile, Istrian's homemade cookies, domestic rakija and bottle of vine.
Apartmant is a brand new. Perfectly clean with all amenities that you need.
Bed and sheets were like you are sleeping in haven.
Marina thought about every single detail.
We will remember this stay for very long and definetly go back if the road take us to Umag again.
The hosts are very friendly, they speaks croatian, italian and germain. There was a small problem with our booking, but it was handled flexibly and resolved promptly. The accomodation is well equiped, super clean and it is not so far from Umag. The most closest beach is about 10 minutes by car. Valica is a quiet village, there is not any shops. There is a restaurant, but not always open, maybe because of it was the end of august. If you want peace and quiet, I recommend it.
For the price, this was a really good deal. Hotel staff was friendly and clearly happy to see you there. The location is perfect right near the beach. A real nice hotel for families with children. The price also included 2 hours/day of wellness entry with whirlpools and saunas which was a really nice surprise since it was raining a few days while we were there. The food was also delicious and the buffet offered a wide variety of dishes that were all good.
I had an excellent stay at Villa Istriana. Daniela is a very kind & welcoming host, and all the staff were very friendly. It was one of the most welcoming hotels I have ever been to. The dinner, with the fresh fish of the day, was amazing. The room was very clean and it had a sauna & jacuzzi. The location of the hotel was also great, a short drive away from the beach and Umag city center. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
The location is huge, I mean huge. It almost half an island, you can walk and hour and still next to the complex. There are 5-6 hotels, bars, beaches, shops, restaurants on site, you don't even have to go anywhere in Umag. Great place for people with children and also without them. The pool side is nice and there are a lot of place, you don't have to worry about crowd maybe on peak season at breakfast, but it is okay.
Extremely kind staff - especially the owners. Very clean room, room cleaning with fresh towels every day. Full and rich breakfast, bikes for renting for very low price. Very high speed wi-fi. Perfect location, approx. 200 m from beach, 700 m from center, 800 m from main tennis stadium (ATP Croatian tournament). Will come again certainly.
A very dated and unattractive hotel (it is also cheap so you're getting what you pay for) in a great location near beaches, harbour and Croatian Open Tennis centre. Big buffet breakfast. 20-30ish min walk to old town. Rooms are dated and basic but provide a cheap place to sleep if that's all you need! Staff we're friendly a day helpful.
The accommodation was generally great. Good furniture, comfy bed. They are getting the ratting for 7 from me because they messed up the booking. The guests are supposed to check-in at 14:00, they oversold the hotel room and did not have enough staff to clean up. We got our room first at 19:00
Food was great, all inclusive serving only domestic products has totaly diffrent meaning in Croatia, all the drinks were excelent... Animation team was excellent Valentina and Ivan esspecialy our daughter love it. Rooms ware very clean and nice. Overall expirience was totaly fine.
Absolutely fantastic location right on the harbourside and the sea view room was lovely.
Modern and stylish and finished to a very good standard.
Bed extremely comfortable and bathroom facilities excellent.
Extremely beautiful home with excellent accommodation and very very helpful hosts. Croatia at its very best. The whole family enjoyed the stay very much and I would highly recommend to family and friends.
The hosts are very kind and friendly. The apartment was absolutely perfect because it was so clean, modern and comfortable. The city center and the beach is available for some minutes from the apartment.
Hotel and Restaurant Zlatna Vala was very nice.
My single sleeping room was a bit small but all was OK. Breakfast was very good and the the staff on site was very friendly and helpful.
Modern facilities located close to a small sand beach.
Nice little town for an evening stroll.
The hotel reservation includes access to punta pool,
a pool with slides for children.
Probably the best mattress I ever slept on in a hotel/apartment. Even though Centar is right in front of the window, isolation is great so you do not hear anything.
