I almost feel guilty raving about this place because even though Egyptians know about it and have been coming for decades, there are relatively few foreign tourists. This has allowed Marsa Matruh to retain its unique cultural authenticity, with its delightful Bedouin hospitality and scrupulously honest people. I hope it won't be invaded soon by too many foreign tourists. Avoid coming in July and August. The best months are May, early June, September and October. Great city , especially it is small and you can go any place in max 30 min with car all water sports are there in other beaches i recommend to just rent the best clean place and buy all you stuff from the city it self even the food if this is okay for you Marsa mtroh is good cozy small place , very calm , sea is perfect

Marsa Matruh itself which is 35km from the hotel we were staying at is a den for Islamic fundamentalists, salafis and moslem brotherhood. It is not a place to be visited. Jazz hotel is in Almaza Bay which is totally separate from Marsa Matruh.DinaEgypt

The room was nice and large, we get one with big livingroom. Personal was great, especially the hotel manager on reception, he was really kind and helped us with everything and was perfectly taking care of us during our stay. He managed for us trips around Matruh. Wifi signal was perfect. Tasty oriental breakfast. Beautiful view from balcony! We enjoyed our stay and we recommend this hotel to every traveler.

The rooms are very beautiful.. the most clean and beautiful room we had in whole Egypt (we’ve been on a road trip through Egypt and stayed quite a lot places). Everyone was very kind and helpful. I think that’s the best hotel in Marsa Matruh. And I loved the beach with its beautiful baby blue color. I would definitely stay again at this place if I come again to this region.
