Relais Della Porta 4 stars

Hotel in Naples

Featuring a shared lounge, Relais Della Porta is located in Naples, a 9-minute walk from Maschio Angioino. This property is set a short distance from attractions such as San Carlo Theatre. The location was great and the accommodation beautiful. Its in an old palazzo so very quaint on the outside but the rooms are like new inside. The staff were outstanding and did all they could to assist and provide recommendations. The breakfast was amazing, so much food! The breakfast room has a stunning artwork on the ceiling too. We highly recommend this hotel and would go back when in Naples again.

Hotel La Badia 3 stars

Hotel in Sorrento

Set on a hillside 2 km from the centre of Sorrento, Hotel La Badia offers an outdoor swimming pool, air-conditioned accommodation and a terrace with panoramic views of the Bay of Naples. La Badia is an old Villa which is charismatic, romantic and located up in the hills with a perfect view Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples. In our opinion this was the perfect location, 10 minute walk down a hill to the busy town. We wanted something quiet, comfortable with parking in Sorrento and La Badia delivered and beyond. The breakfast buffet was really nice as well the snack time in the afternoon. Service was wonderful and the front desk always ready to assists with our needs. The pool area was nice and the pool was the perfect temperature. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds, bathrooms was a little bit small but nothing to complain about. Loved our stay and would definitely come back for another visit.

FAQs about hotels in Campania

Stunning Scenery and Remarkable Ruins

Wonderful beach resorts, a wealth of history and winding, cliff-hugging roads – these are just a few reasons why Campania is so admired.

Spreading around a bay, the capital Naples is a mix of monumental architecture and narrow streets. Known for pizza and pulsating life night and day, it extends along the coast towards Pozzuoli, site of a Roman amphitheatre and the Phlegrean Fields volcanic area.

The most notorious volcano is of course Vesuvius, whose eruption in 79AD destroyed Pompei and Herculaneum. The ruins of both are an amazing insight into the sophistication of the Romans. Even older are the well-preserved Greek temples at Paestum.

Agropoli sits on a rocky promontory overlooking a beach and harbour, and beautiful Palinuro is at the tip of the Cilento National Park. Other fantastic Campania resorts are on the amazing Amalfi Coast. Ravello, high on a hill, offers stunning coastal views, while Amalfi and Positano cascade down to the sea. Around the peninsula is Sorrento, home to several 5-star Campania hotels, while offshore are the fabulous islands of Capri and Ischia.

Inland Caserta has an impressive Royal Palace with huge gardens, and Avellino nestles in a valley between the port of Salerno and Benevento, site of yet more Roman remains. See Booking.com for an excellent range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Campania.
