Fantastic hotel. Rooms spacious and comfortable. We had a family room in the Chateau. Two pools! Beautiful location.

The dining room was lovely. It was a fine base to visit nearby Sarlat La Canadia and to see other ancient buildings in the Dordogne area.

Often photos on sites make a place look better than it actually is. Auberge de Castel-Merle is so much better than the photos led me to expect. Truly one of the most lovely accommodation experiences I have ever had. I hope to stay there again.
