We could not have asked for a better experience at Hotel Du Lac. We loved the hotel, and the staff truly made the stay so special. They went out of their way to be accommodating, offer suggestions and recommendations, and offer assistance to us when we were left in a transportation predicament as we departed, going above and beyond to help us out. We will forever be grateful to Daniele and the rest of the staff! We can't wait to return to Hotel Du Lac!

Bellagio was well worth the visit. Lovely restaurants, cafes and shops. Lots to see and do. Be prepared to walk a lot. Downside- very hard to find public toilets. One has to pay to use a restaurant toilet or to have been dining there. Also, taxis are very hard to find. Ferry lines for payment are long. Tried to buy online but booked out.

We had a very bad experience at Como lake. because the employees in the ferry company went on a strike at 12 noon until 5 PM, and we were stranded on our first stop ( Varrena). All the private boats and water taxis refused to transfer anybody. So we had to take a taxi to return back to our hotel in Bellagio which took almost 90 minutes to reach while its not more than a 15 minutes ride by the ferry. So unfortunately these employees have spoiled our one day vacation to Como, because they could have informed us about the intended strike before we bought our circulation ticket, we could have changed our plans.

Bellagio is such a cute town.
Bellagio is such a cute town. I recommend staying there just for a day and then visiting the other small towns around it with the ferry. It is quite expensive compared to other cities but the landscapes and views are worth it.

Bellagio was by far the best village/town to stay in on Lake Como. Shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes were excellent. The streets were fantastic, and very photographic. Ferries were easy to catch to other parts of the lake. Sitting outside the Sports cafe bar near the church as a daily ritual to sip caffe or a Aperol Spritz.

Bellagio has the perfect location in Lake Como in order to visit other places around the lake. It is very picturesque and unique. It is much better than Como to stay during your trip since it's not a big town but rather a very beautiful village. The only problem is the road leading there, which is rather narrow, but this is the case for the whole of Lake Como. The alternative is moving around by boat.

The restaurants and bars and narrow lanes were great.
The restaurants and bars and narrow lanes were great. The lanes are mostly steep climbs so be fit or stop in a bar half way! Just out of town is the Alle Darsene di Loppia, very good restaurant.
Cars are generally excluded from the town centre so if you have your own car you need to make sure you can get to your accommodation. And if you have a car you need to be bold when driving, because the local Italians can fit a car through a tiny gap, at high speed, and you must do the same to get anywhere. Trust them and enjoy the ride!
The ferry trips around Lake Como were great - you can explore a lot of beautiful old towns from the ferry.
The hotel is located near Lake Como (although not right next to it) and is surrounded by mountains making the location top.
This seems to be a small hotel run by a family which tends to do everything as best as possible.
Breakfast contained a lot of home-grown veggies which tasted delicious.
The host was really friendly, constantly doing her best to make us feel good and welcomed. Also offered some great tips on how to explore the Lake Como.
Hotel has a nice terrace which ends in a crystal clear pool.
The hotel is very cosy, with only a few rooms and a lovely garden with a pool outside. The hostess is super friendly, she gave us tips on what to do in Bellagio as well as recommended day trips for us to do around lake como. She was very knowledgeable and helped us a lot, especially on which attraction is open or closed each day and how to get there. We didn’t book breakfast because we were on a hurry in the morning, but it looked great, as it’s served in the garden with an amazing view of lake como.
Nicely designed boutique hotel in Bellagio!
Good location - very close to the pier, easily accessible.
Great staff - there was a landslide that disrupted the transport in lake como on the day before our check-in and the staff was very kind to message us on this information. Staff is also friendly throughout our stay
Breakfast - breakfast is offered at the patio restaurant of the hotel, which is very comfortable to start off the day. Staff in the restaurant is also very friendly and helpful!

The breakfast was good, not very divers but the food was tasty and fresh.
Location is perfect, near the San Giovanni ferry station and 20 minutes from Bellagio, and the walk to Bellagio is by a beautiful botanical garden, a must to see in your trip to lake como.
We loved our stay here! This gem made our stay in Lake Como even more fantastic. The apartment is centrally located, within just a few steps you have shops, restaurants and even a couple of food stores where you can pick up some groceries to make breakfast. The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook and it has a beautiful view of the lake.
Amazing hotel! Great staff, always helpful. breakfast from the bakery in the morning was great, amazing view of lake como, rooms are so beautiful. it’s bit of a travel from Bellagio central area, about 30 min walk up hill, quite difficult to get a taxi but didn’t mind the walk. will definitely be back, can’t recommend enough! Tony was great😊
We arrived in the afternoon and were welcomed by Paola who offered a drink and gave us an overview of the property and the Lake Como area. We booked a room that was well-equipped with a kitchen, bath and bedroom. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had a car and parked right at the property at no additional cost.
Everything!! Location was great, property was very quaint, hosts were brilliant! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and better people to look after you than Paola and Giorgio, advising you on what to do in and around the Bellagio/Lake Como area to enhance your stay. Thank you both for helping us have a wonderful holiday.
The location was superb for exploring Lake Como. The hotel is exceptional and the staff could not do enough for you. It was great to be right next to the ferries and we enjoyed all of the restaurants and the pool area was great following a day of touring. It was really easy to move around all of the Lake area without a car.
The hotel is outside of town, high up on the mountain with the most incredible views of Lake Como. There is a lovely large patio in the front perfect for enjoying the views while having a drink (or dinner). Great service and food. Lots of trails to hike. We didn't rent a bike but they are available. Loved this place.
The location is beautiful. We loved the cute rooms, the views of Lake Como from our balconies. The hotel was able to place people in our group on same floor next to each other. We also enjoyed having the restaurant/bar downstairs to enjoy some wine and snacks outside while enjoying the beautiful view.
The apartment is very nice, big, comfortable.
It was super clean and with amenities as basic food and drinks.
The owner, Carolina, super nice person. She gave us all the indications we needed to have an amazing time in Bellagio.
If I come again to lake Como, I will stay here again.
Everything...the fabulous view, the hot tub, the beds, the spaciousness if the rooms, the burds singing in the morning, the sunsets st night and our so kind and freindly hosts. This place is perfect to just relax, get away from toueists and enjoy the beauty of Lake Como.
The breakfast was plentiful with great selection, and beautifully presented. The location right on the waterfront was convenient, along with amazing views of Lake Como. Staff was very welcoming, informative and helpful. We loved our stay at Hotel Florence!
Loved the location, the room was lovely and the view from the room, overlooking one the long stepped passages in one direction and looking out to the Lake in the other, was spectacular. Great breakfast overlooking Lake Como, just wonderful all around.
It was a small family run hotel in the centre of Bellagio close to many restaurants and shopping and also a short walk from the Melzi Family estate and gardens which are absolutely gorgeous. The staff at the hotel were lovely and very friendly.
