The location to Europapark was wonderful. The staff was friendly and parking was convenient. For a decently priced hotel, it served it's purpose well. I would stay here again if I was in town.

FAQs about hotels in Rust
On average, 3-star hotels in Rust cost $197 per night, and 4-star hotels in Rust are $214 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Rust can be found for $209 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Set between the Rhine River and the Black Forest, Rust is a small German town that is best known for its huge Europa Park. The largest theme park in Germany, it only comes second behind Disneyland Paris as Europe’s most popular amusement park.
The park’s 16 themed zones contain a variety of high-adrenaline rides as well as attractions for little kids. There are also shows, a 4D cinema and various eating establishments all over the complex.
In addition to the elaborately designed hotels within Europa Park, Booking.com has a fantastic range of Rust accommodations including hotels with outdoor pools, apartments with parking, and cheap guesthouses.
However, this is of course not the only reason to visit. The Baden-Württemberg region has some wonderful cycling routes, and the hills to the east of Rust are also popular for hiking.
The town is located less than an hour drive from the Black Forest spa resort of Baden-Baden and the colorful city of Freiburg. Each route passes by lush vineyards and little towns with half-timbered houses. Historic Strasbourg is over the border with France to the north, while Basel to the south is a lesser-known Swiss gem.

Rust is just for Europa Park visits, and does not offer much for other expectations. But EP is very amazing, especially for families. A 2-day visit was ideal for us, but depending on the kids' ages and joy, a few more days can be worth it. (Also parents have joy, too!)

Rust is a fantastic little town in South West Germany.
Rust is a fantastic little town in South West Germany. Plenty of eateries, bars and bakeries. Europa Park, Germanys biggest, and probably one of the best Theme Parks in the world is on its doorstep, as is Rulantica Water Park.
Good base for Europa/Rulantica and visiting Black Forrest.

The great secret about visiting Europa Park with the family...
The great secret about visiting Europa Park with the family is the adjacent town of Rust. You can either sit in the traffic jam that morning with the entire rest of south western Germany, Switzerland and France, or you can stay the night before with the family, have a leisurely breakfast and then either catch the local bus over or walk, depending on your hotel's location. It's nicer than the Europa Park parking experience, and staying in Rust gives you somewhere to collapse with the family after a long day on the rides. There's hotels with parking, supermarkets for the essentials and cheap family restaurants. It feels like a cheat code few others have found yet for an enjoyable stay.

Rust is geared around Europa Park and Rutlantica.
Rust is geared around Europa Park and Rutlantica. We should have hired a car as unless we were in the parks there was very little to do. The parks are fabulous and great fun, we had a blast in them and will be back. The people of Rust are really friendly, there are plenty of places to eat on a night however nothing is open through the day for food (apart from one kiosk outside the front gates).
Rust is very pretty but quiet.

One half of our group spent 2 days at Europapark but the queues were at least an hour long for each ride, for a ride which was 1’. Saying that though, it was a public holiday on the Thursday. When we drove off on Friday, not a public holiday, the traffic jams coming into Rust from every highway as horrendous….
The other half of us rode our MTBs to Schwarzwald (30’ by bike away), which was amazing with beautiful trails and bakeries along the way to stop at.
Sparkling clean place, friendly hosts, great location. We had a wonderful stay in Rust and will definitely be back. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were comfortable and our host was super knowledgeable and helpful. The bathroom was beautiful, we loved the decor. Everything was perfect. If you're staying in the summer you might want to add air conditioning for a small fee, especially if you like to keep your bedroom on the colder side. We slept with the windows open and were quite comfortable though.
Absolutely fantastic accommodation!
20 min walk from gates of Europa Park or Rulantica.
Has everything you could think of for your stay.
Room and kitchen was spotless! Very very clean.
Shower was great with loads of room in the cubicle.
The owner was absolutely fantastic. He made sure everything was perfect for our stay and even offered to take us back to the train station which was so lovely!
Set in a lovely peaceful area we will definitely be stopping here when we come back to Rust.
Ideal location, 20 minutes to Europa Park on foot, surrounded by places to eat of an evening. Pool and hotel bar/restaurant were great value for money too. There’s two super markets 10 minutes walk away. Free local bus to Rulantica ever 30 mins.
The staff couldn’t do anymore for us, they even added balloons and beers to our room for my boyfriend’s birthday. Bedrooms were huge and had everything we needed. Honestly couldn’t fault it.
Exceptional hotel! Very good price-quality ratio.
Very friendly staff, speaking several languages.
Spacious parking.
Very elegant and well equipped rooms.
Very good breakfast.
10 minutes walk from Europa Park. The amusement park is phenomenal!
What impressed us: although Catholic Easter had passed, red eggs were
also offered at breakfast on the occasion of Orthodox Easter!
Nice clean, quiet place in Rust for a EuropaPark trip. Great breakfast in the morning. Emphasis on clean, quiet...
1st time in a B and B style place in Europe, and host Steve was awesome and laid back. Didn't know prior, but you can book direct on his site as well...
We'll be back!
Until a couple of years ago the choices to stay in Rust were either the hotels of Europa Park or guesthouses and pensions, with relatively high prices per night. It's nice to see that a Moxy chain hotel was added to that, with reasonable prices. Will prefer it again in the future.
Breakfast was really nice. Location of the hotel is very close to EP so that's a big plus. We arrived after 2200hrs and had to walk quite a bit from where the key was left for us and the room (it was actually in another building) but apart from that all was good.
The apartment is renovated, bathroom and Kitchen facilities are designed better than 4 stars hotels. Very nice place for families, and so calm. Location is close to park, walking distance. Restaurants near by. The owner its very respectful and true gentleman.
It was a lovely room, the kids were very sorry to leave and go to the hotel in Europa park. It’s location is so convenient I’d recommend to all. As for the window in the floor with the fish, the kids and adults were amazed !
The bedroom had plenty of space, and everything needed was available. The host was very nice, and the apartment was quiet. It was well located to visit Europa Park, either walking, using the free Rust Bus, or driving.
Very efficient communication with the owner. Keys were waiting for us in the safe box. There are drinking water, kettle, microwave and fridge easily available for guests. Very close to Europa Park hotel entrance.
Excellent location right next to Europa park. Much cheaper than the official Europa Park hotels. Staff were helpful and friendly. Spacious though basic rooms. Good breakfast.
The hotel is nice , clean , very good breakfast and the transportation to the park by the shuttle is very convenient. The trekronasat Resturant food is amazing.
I loved the hotel it was clean and very close to Europa park. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed. Definitely planning on staying here again
