A Fairytale Place

Beautiful spot with plenty to occupy your time for several days. Must sees are the Bled Castle, visit to the Island and a walk around the lake. If walk is too much (around 6 km) there is electric train that will take you for the full or part of that scenic walk. For those that enjoy walking there are numerous walks and hikes off the lake and beyond.

Lake bled exceeded our expectations.
Lake bled exceeded our expectations. We flew into Trieste airport and stayed the first night in Ljubljana which was really beautiful and we took the local bus €8 for 4 of us out to lake bled where we stayed for a further 3 nights there was so much to do and see with amazk g scenery and plenty of walking trails. We did the lap of the lake, climbed to the castle, boat trip to the Island, tour out to vintgar gorge (amazing) we also visited Bohinj Lake again €10 for 4 by bus. There are lots of other activities. If there were direct flights to Ljubljana we would all love to go back.

There are several options to visit. The castle, the lake. So many opprtunities to ski sports, walk in the forests. Waterfall, beautiful lakes not only the Bled one. Ojstrica is a good program, the best viewing point to the castle but be prepared a short via ferrata as well. Beautiful really.RichárdHungary - 10Scored 10

Wonderful, beautiful. But it was raining all the time, so we couldn´t see everything what we want. The small "island" on lake is perfect. Very recommended. And people are so friendly there....

Amazingly beautiful. So much to see. The boat trip was great. Walk up to castle was tough but so worth it. The blue color of the lake was breathtaking. One if the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

Breakfast was amazing, they legit had everything to choose from, we were so full. It is a lovely family run place, the whole family were lovely and provided recommendations and directions when needed, they also helped my partner when he was sick with food poisoning from the Bled cake at lake bled, they gave us tea and fresh mint, they were so kind. they also had free bike hire! Everything about the hotel screams 'class' and understated sophistication. The views across Lake Bled from the breakfast room and from our balcony were jaw dropping. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff were helpful and the restaurant food exceptional (if a little pricey). The location of the hotel really cannot be surpassed. Our hotel room was beautiful with a balcony and magical view of Lake Bled, and the staff were lovely and left a card and bottle of prosecco for him in the room whilst we were out. Breakfast was of the highest quality, with a huge choice including fresh waffles and pancakes in a large dining room with views of the lake. The breakfast was the best we had in Slovenia, you could tell it was prepared with love! The staff was kind and very helpful. I loved that they provided bikes for the guests to use. Location was perfect for exploring Lake Bled, and was quick and easy to access the lake by walking or riding bikes. It is not really a 4 star hotel, but we had read the reviews before booking the room and our expectations were quite met. It was the cheapest for the comfort it offers close the Bled Lake and to the other mountain attractions. At a similar price (62 euros) you can find very basic rooms in other properties. The property would need some renovation, but all in all, everything was functional and clean.
