Ben and Sarah were extremely helpful addressing any questions we had. They were ready to book any kind of tour we wanted or taxis we needed. We stayed in Room 22 and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent with a combination of sweet and savory items to choose from. Pool was lovely and the view from there was also great. We were offered the use of the pool and showers after checkout and before we had to get to the ferry.

The place was really clean and pleasant. The room was excellent. The best was though the friendly staff that had some truly excellent ideas on what to do during our stay. We also gained some super help to get to the boat in time.
Everything went really well and we will definitely come to this hotel again. We have nothing to complain about.

Claudio and his family are very nice and go out of their way to make sure guests are pleased. Claudio knows the island and dropped us off at the start point for our walks ... we always felt very secure. The island too is full of friendly sociable people!

The island of Lipari is the perfect location if you are looking to escape the mainland. Relaxing, refreshing, rejuvenating. Be sure to rent a scooter to make your trip more convenient. I recommend to travel around the island after the beach for sunset, it takes about 1 hour to do the whole loop.

Beautiful, historic, quiet and tranquil escape from the mainland. I LOVED Lipari - it was a very friendly island. I didnt see enough outside the main town unfortunately.
There are some lovely restaurants in the passenger port area, very lively at night with families.
Some lovely secluded beaches where I took a swim in teh crystal clear water.
Excellent cathedral on the hill with historic excavations of the bronze age dwellings, amazing.

Great views from various places on the island.
Great views from various places on the island. The beaches are really nice and the water is crystal clear. You need a car although there seems to be some public transport/buses, too. A place to visit is the old town of Lipari. There are many good restaurants in lively Canneto or Lipari. You may want to go to Acquacalda if you prefer a quieter environment.

March is not the best period of the year to go there (most of the restaurants and services are closed).
I think June and September should be the right time to visit the isle.
Great place to make some trip around: just walk up to one of the hills to get some incredible view of the See, the Aeolian Isles and even the Etna volcano!
Lando was an amazing host, he provided us with a lot of information and ideas for our stay. Lando also arranged the transfers to and from the ferry and also our beach access with Coral Beach Club. He also took us to the lookout on the first day which was a great introduction to Lipari! Lando has been the best host we have had throughout our stay in Sicily.
The rooms were spacious, clean, well maintained and the location is great, only a short walk to the city centre. The beds were comfortable, and WiFi was fine for us and our teenagers.
A seaside accomodation venue in Lipari. So much potential. We were upgraded which was very nice. The rooms are freshly painted, but poor energy from facilities staff and noticeable dysfunction between areas is off putting. You can tell that while the hotel has had its hey day, the vibe is off now. Investment in customer service training and some core upgrades to the property would make this place a go to venue. The cost of the stay is totally
overpriced for the experience of Hotel Carcaso.
This was the best and nicest property that we have ever stayed in. The decor and other touches are beautiful, everything clean, sparkling and wonderful. the views over the harbour and towards Volcano are wonderful and being high up very peaceful and quiet. You can walk down to Lipari and to Canneto on the other side fairly easily. we are both elderly but managed both the walk through the tunnel and the fairly steep earth path to Canneto both in daylight and the dark, torch required.
Fantastic villa up in the mountains of Lipari. Very helpful and service minded staff. You can book the room with or with out breakfast. I booked with out breakfast. The room had the traditional Italian beddings (which is a little hard). The room had a fridge and very well working internet, no problem to see Youtube. Attached to the room was an amazing terrace with a great view over Lepari. The garden has nice flowers. Transport down to the harbour at departure free of charge.
beautiful view from the hotel, 10 minute walk into the centre, lovely pool and bar. this might not be for everyone but you are hosted so beautifully by the owner. if you want it to be like a regular 4* hotel stay that's possible, but if you want to practice your rudimentary italian with his son, or have a chat about the island while drinking a beer, it's a wonderful place to stay. real charm and character - the villa is incredible too.
The hosts welcomed us already at the near Piazza and brought us to the accommodation. They are very nice and helpful. The Casa Annina is about 15 minutes by walk from the port where the ferries from Milazzo arrive and very close to Marina Corta where the boats leave for excursions to other islands. Supermarkets are near and all sights in the town of Lipari are easy to reach by walking. Internet is included and very good.
Wonderful b&b with terrace with a view over lipari, out of the chaos of the village, but in a 10-minutes walking distance. The rooms are super comfortable with a very good air conditioning. The hosts,Chiara and Davide are just wonderful and happy to welcome you on the island. Do follow their suggestions and GO to their favourite restaurant on the island,it's worth it.
I'll be honoured to be their guest again any time.
The location is beautiful, the house is perfect, the host Gaetano is very warm hearted, kind and helpful. The locals are pretty friendly. House wine with fresh fruit were served without any asking! I have been several times in Sicily, but this holiday was far the best for all of us. Everyone should visit this lovely place! It's 100% that you won't regret it.
We liked very much the hotel - it has this distinct air of Lipari and looks typical from this island.
Near the centre and nearer to the port, they have breakfast included; our room had a small balcony overlooking the city and the overall feeling was like an Italian spa. It was not the fanciest but we loved the feeling of being there.
Good price range
This hotel seems very new so it was very beautifully put together. The furnishings were very nice and the room was much bigger than most in Italy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was much bigger than the usual tiny ones that are so typical in Italy. Very good location, near to the shops and pier. I’d highly recommend this hotel!
The contact with the host was super easy, he contacted us before the arrival to be sure at what time we want to check-in. He also gave tips on where to eat and what to do in Canneto and Lipari. Also, there weren't any problems with leaving our baggage in the reception for a few hours after the check-out.
The stuff was very nice and helpful. Thanks a lot for the good recommendations. The room was clean and the beds also comfortable and not too soft. The position of the hotel was very central near the harbour and very close to the main road with many restaurants in the town Lipari.
What a stunning room and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in on my travels. Everything was so clean, fast internet, great air conditioning and beautiful views. This island stole my heart. Grazie Mille!
The staff at the reception is fantastic. We have received a warm welcome and many recommendations. The room was very clean and the breakfast was best we've had on Sicily so far.
A very Sicilian, family-run hotel. Beautiful views from our room. Enjoyed the swimming deck. The setting on an outcrop of rocks in the sea is lovely. Very good food!
The hotel was beautiful and very easily located to the port and main street to eat or shop.
The girls at front desk were extremely helpful and friendly.
