Everything...apart from the lack of parking!!!
Not the hotels fault, just because of the small hamlet it's in, don't let it put you off, one of the most beautiful places I've stayed.

The owners provided everything needed for a great breakfast as well as great suggestions for eating out.

Beddgelert was where we spent many happy family holidays, forty+ years ago, and I felt like reminiscing.
The beauty of the village and area still blew me away.
I now have mobility difficulties, so was unable to do the walking I used to, but proximity to the rivers and mountains made it easy for me to still drive and take lots of photographs.
Most necessities are available in the village stores, and anything else can be found on a quick visit to Porthmadog.
I didn't realise how reliant I had become on technology 🤦🏼♀️ so having no phone signal threw me for a while, then became a blessing. Wi-Fi is available when signed in to a local network.
Recent popularity has been gained through Beddgelert being used as a filming location in "Mr Bates vs The Post Office" , and I was lucky enough to have accommodation above Bistro Hebog, whose garden was used.
What can I say? The people are wonderfully kind and friendly; Beddgelert is better than home from home.

A lovely village with good walks.
A lovely village with good walks. Bus services to Pen-y-pass and Canaerfon. Book places to eat in advance as get full. Lovely cafe by river opposite side of bridge. With outside kiosk, garden.
Easy reach of many sights and places to visit.
Shame about our hotel, looks lovely outside, room awful.

Lovely little village with plenty of walks on the doorstep.
Lovely little village with plenty of walks on the doorstep. You can do an extended walk all the way up to Snowdon with the option of a bus or train (when it’s running) on the way back. Small array of shops and eateries but the Bistro Hebog had some of the nicest food at a great price we had had for a while. People were friendly and it was great to have a decent outdoor store in such a little village. Worth returning to explore more of the area.

Lovely village.
Lovely village. Book dinners as everywhere gets booked up super early and closes early. Super pretty. Colywn cafe is a must stop, the food is delicious and a gorgeous little gift shop. The staff in the Prince Llewelyn pub are brilliant, friendly and accommodating, welcoming. The outdoor clothes shop has great offers and they can’t do enough to help you. Great atmosphere and super close to mount Snowdon if you fancy a climb.

Reading the 1 star reviews before arriving worried me abit, but on arrival the staff were very friendly. Entering the room it was very clean and tidy and all fresh towels ready and waiting for us.
Hotel had WiFi which had good and bad spots in our room on the third floor which the staff warned us about, it was nice having peace from the outside world if I'm honest but we could catch up when we wanted to.
We had breakfast in the hotel and a evening meal, both were lovely and high standards of ingredients.
Loved our stay and would love to go back again, would highly recommend.

A beautiful village at the base of yr Wyddfa perfect for walking and touring North Wales. There are many local walks, all beautiful and clean. Beautiful lakes and rivers surround the village. Things to do include visiting the Copper Mine or riding The Welsh Highland Railway which terminates here, so great for local trips.
Local buses, if you don't drive/want to drive.
Tourist Information office in the village, a local village shop, craft, outdoor gear and coffee shops and restaurants ... and a fabulous ice cream parlour!
And, of course, central to this are the mountains, with treks varying from relatively easy to down right difficult!
This room was furnished to a very high standard, it felt like a boutique hotel really. Comfortable bed, fluffy white towels, excellent shower, Smart TV, coffee machine, mini fridge with milk in etc. Some nice touches like welsh cakes and butter provided and a couple of coffee pods for the machine. Communication was prompt and instructions for access to the property were clear and easy to follow. As a place to rest after a hard days walking it was perfect for me!
The welcome and level of service from all staff was excellent. We had our evening meal in the hotel which was delicious and served in a very attractive dining room. Our room was clean, with all the facilities you'd expect and had a particularly comfortable bed. The location was excellent, positioned in beautiful surrounding countryside but within easy walking distance of bustling Beddgelert and an easy drive to access Snowdon and surrounding mountains.
Beddgelert and the surrounding area is stunning. Sygun Fawr is situated in a beautiful spot, about 15 minutes walk from the village. The hotel itself is really nice. Despite living in Snowdonia most of my adult life, I had no idea that the hotel was there - its location is private and quiet with great views of Craig Wen and Yr Aran, as well as northeast along the valley towards Llyn Dinas. Fully recommend.
Spacious cottage in a very quiet and private location as it's along a private road. Ample and safe parking. Lovely views of the Welsh mountains all round. Good kitchen facilities. Nice log fire with wood supplied which lasted us the weekend. Good shower and water pressure. Comfortable bed. Great walks from the door. Nice walk into Beddgelert with a choice of pubs and restaurants. Will be back
This grade 2 listed hotel is ideally located for Snowdonia and the surrounding stunning countryside .. The staff are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you and the breakfast was superb. It has a very old world feel about it and I wish the new managers luck in making improvements to the building,as it’s a very old hotel… I would thoroughly recommend this hotel
Bryn Cilio is a beautiful cottage, situated in the lovely little village of Beddgelert, surrounded by mountains. It is very spacious, with large living room and a big separate kitchen. The bedrooms (with a bathroom each) were great too, with really comfortable beds. The hosts were really friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We had a wonderful time!
Location was great. Snowdon behind you, with the Watkins path just down the road. The village of Beddgelert just up the road a short drive or a 2 mile country walk, where there are pubs and places to eat. Anthony was a great host and very knowledgeable of the area and places to visit.
Exceptional house: modern facilities smoothly aligned with a historic building. Warm, comfortable: lovely details. Beautiful location: private, quiet, yet close to Beddgelert. Lots of information available about local walks, places to see. Incredible views of the mountains.
Great location for Beddgelert and Snowdon. Comfortable beds and the pods were warm and cosy. Having your own designated bathroom is good. The pods have a handy covered porch and clever storage solutions for your stuff under the beds.
The food was very good. the staff were pleasant and helpful but the hotel was understaffed unfortunately so the staff that were there did their best to be accommodating but no time to go that bit further.
Excellent location, an easy walk into the village of Beddgelert. Everyone we spoke to was really friendly & helpful and the food was great (breakfast & the evening restaurant), would stay again!
The hotel was welcoming and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Ample parking and a great location. Walks from the hotel were good and the surrounding scenery was beautiful.
Stunning location: I know Snowdonia pretty well, having visited for the last 40 years, but this area is just the best. Close to walking trails, gorgeous little village and peaceful spot.
