We arrived late in the evening after dark, and were happy to be received by our host. We were impressed by the clean and well-organized accommodations and check-in process. I stayed in Echterdingen because I needed an overnight room...
I stayed in Echterdingen because I needed an overnight room close to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised to find how attractive the town was, given that it's right under the airport flightpath (and you aren't aware of it) and virtually a suburb of Stuttgart. It retains its small-town feel with some attractive streets, lots of cobbles and half-timbered buildings, and a redoubtable medieval church with a tower you can see for miles around. The shops appear to be quite good, the choice of restaurants is outstanding, the streets are clean and the people are friendly. As I left on Saturday morning the traditional street market was just being set up.

There should be more restaurants for both vegetarians and non vegetarians I went to a near by shop on a sunday evening where they were selling rolls etc,What I did not like was they were using the same gloves that they were picking the meat from the containers to wrap up the rolls. to non vegetarians as well This put me off

For me this is the most important parameter. Bathroom, toilet, bed were clean. Sufficient number of towels. I would also like to thank the staff for their responsiveness and help with finding the best route to the airport. They were very nice to me and spoke good English. Thanks for that!

Has a small market across the street for last min items or grocery shopping. Also two Italian restaurants a block apart but short walk and open on alternate days so took both. Super price low for area. added cost for upgraded room worth it and clean pretty modern. Parking ok Breakfast was great and enjoyed it. I will return to hotel even without AC in the place.JimGermany
