The property was impeccable - clean and well decorated. The location at the foot of the Alps within sight of the Zugspitzstraße was nothing short of breathtaking! The hiking trails and paths made it easy to enjoy the village, mountains, and Eibsee. And the staff could not be more welcoming. Barbara was kind enough to make a reservation for us at Shacktners Restaurant (which also is highly recommended!!).

I loved the location. It was very close to the Zugspitze and Eibsee Lake, but in a very quiet location. I specifically loved the like lake right next to the hotel and the breathtaking view from the restaurant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular! The grounds were beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The spa was great! The breakfast was excellent every morning with the table all set with our name placement card. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious! The location was super especially for getting to the Zugspitze cable car and for enjoying all the trails in the area. The local town area was quaint, within walking distance, and had a great Italian Pizzaria and ice cream shop. We enjoyed afternoon and evening beverages on the outside patio looking up at the gorgeous Alps.

Our apartment had a wonderful view of the mountains from the dining and living room area. Although there was no restaurant near by, we had a kitchen for most of our meals, which helped keep the food costs reasonable. We have a large family and spending an extravagant amount every meal just is not feasible. Still, Garmisch is only a short 12 km drive where diners can choose any type of selection they wish.
