Great location. Everything felt well maintained and clean. Very friendly desk staff.
Great breakfast in the morning that will save you $20+/person vs eating out every morning.
Doesn't feel like a cramped hotel or the cookie-cutter apartment style rooms that other places on the island tend to be.

Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.
Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned "A Farewell to Arms." Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. There are also trolley rides through the historic district of Jackson Square.
There’s more than just history to Key West, however. Smathers Beach is a place to have fun in the sun, while Mallory Square provides the chance to shop and watch a magnificent sunset. The excellent bus system helps you get around the island without a car.
Key West International Airport is a mere 4 miles from Duval Street, the heart of downtown and a good place to stay for easily exploring the nearby sights. With accommodations ranging from resorts to B&Bs, Booking.com helps you get the best stay for the best price in Key West!

We loved the sunset at Mallory Square, Hemingway House, Aqua Drag show, entertainment at Lateda and so much more. Stay in a central location (we were on Olivia Street) and you can walk everywhere. Dress casually and stay cool because it is very hot and humid, but gorgeous.

Best activity was the sea plane to the Dry Tortugas. A little pricey, but so well worth it! Highly recommend.

Key West is gorgeous and rich with history.
Key West is gorgeous and rich with history. I would call it less of a conventional beach town, as the beaches are sparse and man made because of the whole island thing. If you love the water then this is the place. Boats, jet skis, snorkeling and more are all available for you to enjoy and Duval Street is full of shopping, restaurants and bars. There are some very unique vendors with one of a kind items and lots of art appreciation from the locals. The beach stores are a little over priced on some of their beach wares, which is typical, but there is no shortage of cute and original boutiques. Rent a scooter or a golf cart when you get there. It is the best way to travel while you are there.

There are so many things to do in Key West. Tons of historic sites, great beaches and views, and obviously Duval Street. Definitely check out taking a day trip to Dry Tortugas to see the National Park and do some snorkeling!!! Memorable sunsets at Mallory Square. We definitely will be back, as we ran out of time to cover it all.

Sun, fun and oh so much to see, do and eat!
Sun, fun and oh so much to see, do and eat! We enjoyed Duval Street and all it had to offer. We ate at Seaside Cafe (my favorite was lobster pizza and the Mojiots). We took the ferry to Latitudes on Sunset Key, it was absolutely amazing. The food and the ambiance was phenomenal. Please be advised, reservations well in advance are required. We visited all the hot spots for drinks and entertainment. We loved breakfast at TwoFriends and Big Cheezies. You can walk or ride bikes all over. We did not rent a car but did rent a golf cart one day. That was fun and we felt safe the entire time.
First trip to Key West so we booked a hotel central for a three-night stay. Location was very good (two blocks from Duval Street) but the size of the room was very bad. I understand these things are always a trade-off but $650 for a three-night stay for essentially one room (containing a bed, with practically no room for anything else) was excessive. The breakfast was acceptable and the honour bar was a good touch. But the room was incredibly cramped and we wouldn't stay there again for that reason.
This was the best stay in the last 2 years out of 30-40 different hotels and motels we did.
Amazing location, amazing units (very well equipped, luxury, premium furniture and applicances, towels), nice views to the ocean, great pool area with a decent bar.
It felt luxurious. I don't regret too often not staying more in the hotel rather than exploring the area but this place was so nice that I do.
Staff was friendly, helpful.
The hotel was in the perfect place. It was such a short walk to Duval street, and all other touristy places, but it was also in a quiet location and was such a peaceful location for later in the night when we were ready to retire for the night. The room was so spacious and clean. Out of all the hotels I’ve ever been in, this is BY FAR the best hotel and I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Key West.
We are from South Florida, a 3 hour drive from Broward County. I did a ton of research before booking this hotel and I have to say, it is the absolute best option for me. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it. Very clean and modern, beautiful pool and beach and gulf view. Good vibes all around. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely go back again. Only 1 mile away from downtown Duval.
The whole look of the hotel is very fun and chic, a little bungalow colony tucked away in busy Key west. The one heated pool was fabulous, and we did enjoy the little private seating areas outside every room. The location was great, pretty central, and walkable to everything. Housekeeping did a great job as well and our room was clean.
Stayed 3 days in August 2022. Quiet and very nice hotel located near the downtown road and with its own parking and pool. Room large enough, cleaned and well fitted.
All the staff was very gently and smiling. Goof breakfast and well appreciated the evening happy hours initiative.
Certainly, a place to stay in Key West.
I absolutely loved the staff. Maybe I wasn’t there for too long but I felt very welcomed. The hostel is the only one in the area and I’m so glad! Maybe it isn’t the cheapest one but comparing to other accommodation options in Key West it's ok:) it was clean and colourful. I loved the area and it’s close to a beach.
The hotel is in an excellent location right in the center, but still on the quiet side. The courtyard pool is small but nice. Parking was included in the room, but it is located three blocks away (better than nothing, Key West parking spaces are hard to come by). The room was clean and spacious enough.
The hotel is relatively away from the loudness of everyone who's partying hard in Key West. It's in a place where you're not in the center, but yet, you are. I stayed in room #316 facing the bay. Which had a big balcony with rocking chairs and pool chairs. It was very spacious and overall clean.
That was located in Key West and remember there's two Fairfield inns it makes it easier going downtown. I live next to Okeechobee Lake and I come to Key West at least twice if not three times a year my point is this I'll be exploring more in different hotels. Till I find the one that fits me
Staff were excellent - from check-in, during our stay and check-out. Location of the resort is PERECT! We visit Key West 2-3 times a year, and Opal Key will now be our primary resort of choice. Also - food is excellent at their restaurant, not like typical hotel food.
The location is fantastic for the centre of Key West. The staff are really helpful and the pool a great asset set in a beautiful garden. It is quiet and peaceful. Many of the customers are young singles and the hotel is not really spacious enough for families.
Location!! It is one of the few (if not the only one) beach front hotel in Key West. Try the beach front rooms.
Beach has chairs, umbrellas, water sports rentals.
Nice pool, with a bar and restaurant close by.
Good looking hotel, Key West style.
Large and very nice pool. Breakfast by the pool (even if the breakfast quality is medium).
Free shuttle to go to the city center.
Expensive but quite ok for Key West.
The location was excellent! The hotel has a very retro vibe, yet everything is very fresh and new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price is high, but so is everywhere in Key West.
I’d like having a parking at the hotel included. The shuttle services to the beach and downtown was a plus. Service above expected. Thanks dore making it a great experience. Key West🫶
