Wonderful and relaxing place to visit, but a car is a requirement! Will definitely return to Ferragudo! The Benagil grotto and dolphin boat tour is a must! Visit: Sagres, Selema, Burgau, Tavira, Monchique. A delightful server at Algar Seco made several culture and dining recommendations, including O Charneco - definitely dine here, but an Uber might work better if you are going to drink or the narrow roads make you nervous!

Ferragudo is a little gem of a traditional fishing town.
Backstreets with family run cafes, restaurants, bars but nothing too over crowded.
The town square is the central hub day and night but quieter off street restaurants also available so best of both.
The beach is wide, clean and interesting to watch the fishing boats coming and going.

Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave.
Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave. It has 2 lovely beaches, the Praia Grande has a handful of bars and restaurants and sun loungers for hire but does not feel particularly crowded, its a great sandy beach for kids with safe, swimming water and pedalos for hire. The town has some lovely restaurants and is very pretty and typically Portuguese with winding streets and colourful houses. I would suggest its not ideal for parents with small children as there are a lot of steps which could be a challenge with a buggy.

Ferragudo has retained its charm as a fishing village, despite being a popular destination for tourists.
Views accross the bay are beautiful.
There are several good restaurants to choose from, including the quayside fish -grilling ones, in addition to the option of dining in at Vitor's Village.
There is a large and popular beach close to Ferragudo, (Praia Grande) in addition to smaller cove beaches a little further afield.
There's a cliff walk of about 7Km along to the (larger) village of Carvoiero, which takes around 3 hours and involves some "scrambling" ; like a lot of the local coastal walks it's good to do "one way" and arrange a lift back!

Nice little town as a destination for a morning walk to get a coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice. Lovely town square with good restaurants and friendly waitstaff. Small fresh fruit and vegetable market and fresh fish on the docks. Very nice large beach close to town and several smaller beaches close by. Challenging hiking paths were also close by. We used Ferragudo as our base while we explored all of the Algarve. Parking the car was a problem but that seems to be the case in all of Portugal.

Train station area is terrible, but hotel area is like a different world.
As busses are often late, you can cross the bridge on foot and after 2,5 km you are in Portimao, where is big Shopping center etc.
Great Aparthotel experience. Wondeful location with easy walking to the very charming Ferragudo town center. A small town with an old center and lovely walks on the river etc in close proximity to Portimao which is the second largest city in the Alrgarve so you need to Uber there if you choose. Close to big box shopping for groceies etc just 5 minutes drive also possible to walk. Overall a wonderful experience!
We have just returned from a 7 day stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing holiday in a beautiful location.
Everything was 5 star with fantastic staff especially Ana ,Joao and Tatiana.
Breakfast was amazing and the snacks and cocktails too.
The pool was never too busy, the rooms beautiful and everywhere was cleaned daily.
Thank you making our stay so good we will be back.
Excellent location, right in the centre of Ferragudo. Very spacious property, clean and comfortable. Large kitchen with everything you need but lovely restaurants within walking distance so minimal cooking done. Gorgeous outside space, which is probably fab in warmer weather. Very clear instructions on accessing property & friendly agent. WiFi & TV nice extras but we were out most of our visit exploring.
We visited the Algarve in off season and stayed only one rainy night in Ferragudo. Unfortunately the local restaurants and supermarket were closed but we ordered from Uber eats and had a comfortable night in the hotel. Staff were very pleasant and I enjoyed our interactions. Gym was great and I managed to get a well needed workout in before our next destination.
very stylish, smelt like a spa! so instantly relaxing. staff - especially the manager Luisa were fantastic, very friendly, and made us feel so welcome. we were upgraded which was a total surprise and a really nice touch. We had a look around the other apartments and its no wonder the same people keep returning…and book 3 yrs in advance! it really is worth it.❤️
Stunning house and view on a top location in Ferragudo! Only a few metres to the village square with shops bars and restaurants. Air-conditioning was perfect in every room we used. Ferragudo is an old fishing village with a lot of stairs. In practice the house goes beyond the foto's on the site. I would recommend this marvellous house to everyone.
All good, plus to celebrate Valentines Day we wanted to have a little picnic and bottle of wine we bought (not from hotel) in our room. The staff were generous and flexible, provided plates etc, and even uncorked the wine for us! That sort of adaptability made it a very welcoming place to be.
This is an excellent location, within a short walk to the village of Ferragudo.
The pool area is lovely and is as large as it looked on the pictures.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our breakfasts.
It was nice to have a patio area to sit out on.
For those who are in love with Ferragudo in the Algarve, this villa gives you an easy blend of beach, old town, good restaurants and site pool all at your convenience - quietly busy. Transport to other local towns and villages is easy.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Location by the river, a short taxi ride from town restaurants. If I stayed here again, I would eat in the hotel. If dinner is as good as the breakfast, it will be excellent.
Incredibly comfortable and functional. Great kitchen, beautiful terrace, excellent location. AC in main room and bedroom both function well. Felt like home away from home. Highly recommend.
Excellent location to explore Ferragudo, very quiet and peaceful ,
Excellent air conditioning, good shower & comfortable bed . Owner M’Jesus was very helpful 😊
