The staff are friendly and helpful. What I liked are the large room, comfortable bed, quality linen, cleanliness, balcony and sea view (but I think not every room has view to the sea). Overall I am satisfied with my choice of accommodation. The hotel is located at a high point in the city, so it is worth arriving by car or finding out about public transport in advance. There isn't much dining options near the hotel, but you can buy a few things at the hotel. Breakfast is buffet style, I was satisfied with it.

The motel is now a little tired but doesn't detract from it's charm. There is a definite need for investment as it was a busy motel. The facilities in the room can best be described as basic but clean and cleaned regularly however this was absolutely fine with me personally and I liked it. Handy for the car parking and on the shaded side. Breakfast was as expected and quite good. The difference that this motel had over many was the quality of the staff - both managers were multi-lingual, attentive and very professional. Indeed Beatriz was arguably one of the most competent and efficient site managers I have encountered in decades of travel. And with a smile so it is the staff that make all the difference here and highly recommended because of them.

The hotel is at a central location. The rooms were nice, it had comfortable bed and functional bathroom. The breakfast was very good. There is a big car parking opposite to the hotel (but on the other side of the street) that was convenient.

Setubal is not a big city but it is quite lively. There are plenty of restaurants and bars and a lot to explore. The tourist information is great for advice and bookings. It is recommended to visit the national park, the Troia peninsula is good for a stroll and dolphin watching is great.

There is a variety of activities here.
There is a variety of activities here. Parts of the city are in decline, common in many Portugal cities, but likewise there are other areas that are very nice. We are seniors, 67 yo, and we walked everywhere, even at night, to restaurants, and felt quite safe. The main area of Avenida Luiza Todi has many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Nice grocery Pingo Doce right there. Very helpful Tourism Office. There are a couple Museums, working waterfront, and a linear park through the center of the city with cafes, sculptures, benches and fountains. Some wonderful plazas and squares.
A short drive to a beautiful beach, and a mountaintop National Park, with hiking and fantastic views. We drove over this and visited wineries to taste wine. A very nice area less hectic than some areas of Lisbon, just 1/2 hour away.
Setùbal has an absolutely amazing public market on the Avenida Luiza Todi. We were only here for three nights, but could have found more to do with a longer visit.

I stayed three nights and that was perfect length to do a trip outside and see the city and castle and try some fresh grilled fish on the restaurants. Go to Setubal to experience a little rough side of Portugal for budget travellers it is also less expensive than many other cities in Portugal. For golfers stay in Setubal, Troia Island were very sleepy after 18.00.

I must admit, I'm torn between sharing the secret of Setúbal's beauty and wanting to keep this gem all to myself. The stunning beaches, delectable food, breathtaking views, and warm-hearted locals are like treasures I'd like to hoard. However, if you decide to visit Setúbal, just savor the experience as I do every time I'm there, and you'll understand why I'm so reluctant to let go of this hidden paradise.

Check was really easy.
Check was really easy. Entrance hall is nice but room lacked some soul- no pictures or colour etc. Shower was tired but it was clean. Slightly out of town, and up a hill, we were fine as fit bit disabilities might struggle. It did the job as it was a 1 night stop off.

Anyone driving to Setubal needs to know that they have recently introduced a zonal parking system and there is little long stay parking available.
Apart from this we found Setubal to be a beautiful City with loads of lovely parks, riverside promenades, narrow streets with plenty of small squares and a surprising amount of street entertainment, including fire-eaters. On top of this the nearby Beaches are outstanding
We absolutely loved our stay here. The location is perfect! Right in the middle of everything, and yet it is very quiet at night. The apartment is spacious and beautifully designed with everything that you need - we felt immediately at home. There was even brown sugar and q tips! The host is super friendly, and checkin and checkout were very easy, Setubal is an amazing town to visit, lots to do and all of the restaurants and cafes are nearby. Looking forward to returning soon!
We stayed in the bungalow for 4 days and it was perfect for our needs, it almost felt like we had our own private house with the pool (although the pool is for the other guests as well). We were served an amazing breakfast and Claudio and his mother Manuela are the best hosts you can ask for. Location is perfect (with the little help of Claudio to reach it) to visit Setúbal and all the beaches around. We will definitely try to come back next year!
The hotel is located in a good area, close to the entrance to the city (close to the highway), markets, gas stations, etc.
The parking lot is quite spacious, free of charge.
The staff is polite, the rooms are clean, quite spacious, equipped with a small fridge where you can find water, juices, beer.
Rich breakfast, like a buffet, that pleases everyone.
The hotel is equipped with padel courts and swimming pools.
I loved this hotel. It was easy to get to and central, and once I arrived there was a warm welcome from the manager who had stayed late to check me in and show me round - much appreciated. The top floor terrace was a great feature with a panoramic view of Setubal - very unusual. My room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel - excellent value for money and a real discovery!
Great location. Slightly far from the centre what makes it nice and quiet. One of the best (hidden gem) fish and seafood restaurants (Pinga-Amor) is 120m from the hotel.
comfortable room.
Option of very early breakfast (07.30( what was very convenient as we had to travel to Algarve on that morning)
Not far from the beautiful beaches of Portinho da Arrabida
The hotel was super well located, just around the corner of everything that Setúbal has to offer. The room was very clean, they offered a welcome drink both at arrival and in the room, and staff was always at my disposal for any questions I had about the area. Would definitely stay here again!
I don’t normally write reviews but this place definitely deserves one. The house is beautiful. The detail Sergio has put into this property is amazing. Throughout our stay he messaged us where the beaches, restaurants, shops etc are which came in handy. The jacuzzi topped the place off.
Location is perfect to explore the town. Centrally located to the Market and the old town. Friendly front desk staff but....didn't go out of their way to be helpful. I'd label this as more of a "self service" hotel for guests that want to be entirely self-sufficient.
Small hotel on a renovated heritage building, good location to explore on foot this small city, walking distance to many restaurants, cafes and shopping, very friendly staff. Happy to have the in room coffee machine with free coffee capsules and an iron and ironing board.
Hotel ideally located to get to know Setubal, the center is very close (10 min walk). The breakfast is very plentiful and varied. Our room on the seventh floor was quiet and with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom had a tub and great toiletries.
Me and my family loved the stay at Casa70.
The room was nice and clean. It was also close enough to everywhere we wanted to see.
Mr Luis, our host was amazing! Very kind, full of passion and information to share about Setúbal.
The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking. The room with pool view was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. 30 minute walk to the city. Lots of choice at breakfast.
Perfect location, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable 👌 excellent housekeeping team 👏 the hotel is very clean, I recommend...And setubal is just beautiful. Everything you need is there.
Very nice breakfast, very clean and cozy facility! Location absolutely amazing! The whole experience exceeded all our expectations! If we will go to Setubal again… we definitely choose Bocage😎
The hotel views were amazing and we appreciated the free parking and close location to the main square. The staff was friendly, and check-in was seamless.
