What a wonderful hotel, with an amazing staff and owner who bent over backwards to make sure it was a honeymoon of a lifetime. Tried another resort but it just didn’t compare and returned to Mayai! Great food, great people, great location.

Facing the beachfront, Kijani Beach Villas offers 1-star accommodation in Bwejuu and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and shared lounge. We've never been to a more perfect place before. It's a cozy little spot, well-planned, sitting right on the beach, and there's this seamless connection between the villas and the beach that feels just right. You can tell that the owners really considered every little thing here. The food is so carefully prepared and absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, on-point, and super quick to help out. Honestly, it's just the ideal place to be.

Facing the beachfront, Imara Beach Resort offers 4-star accommodation in Kiwengwa and has a garden, restaurant and bar. Breakfast was delicious - a lot of food and choices! The location (for the beach and pool) was incredible, between low tide and high tide (and during high tide) you can easily swim here. The pool is pretty deep which is a big bonus as we like swimming (but it's a bit small). They were always very friendly with us! The view is magnific - both from the room and from the pool. We loved staying in the evening and relaxing while watching the ocean and the pool. It's VERY clean - we saw every time how deep the cleaning was made every day. There are a lot of choices for food and drinks too which were very good Great wifi - coming from two people that are very picky with internet and work during travels

We absolutely loved our stay in Sharazad Oasis Retreat. The location is amazing, in a quiet and naturally beautiful spot, simultaneously by the sea and in the middle of biodiverse greenery, with many native trees and with red colobus monkeys passing by every day. The houses are very comfortable, cosy and pretty, designed using natural materials. There is no aircon but we did not feel too hot even during the hottest days, instead it was really pleasant to enjoy the natural air flow from the sea. The staff is really kind and helpful. The facilities are great. We particularly enjoyed the jungle pool. The food was very nice, including the breakfast. We would particularly recommend the Vietnamese restaurant, which is partly part of the hotel, absolutely delicious! The excursions we organised via the hotel were good, especially the spice farm, and we also enjoyed relaxing massages in the Naru Spa. All in all, a much recommended choice for a sustainable higher end stay! Not sure that there are many similarly amazing places to stay left in Zanzibar.
