Lovely town on the North Coast to base yourself for all the excursions around. Fantastic beaches and plenty of good food places. Weather can change at a moments notice with sun, rain and the wrath of the Atlantic all in a day, come prepared. If you golf there are excellent golf courses.

As long as weather is good there is no better place to be than at Portrush. The beaches the food the pubs all great and the people always make you welcome. General shopping would be limited however, but in reality when you go to portrush your not really wanting to shop.

I scheduled in Portrush because of a visit to Giants Causeway. I was pleasantly surprised with the city. It is a very clean upscale beach town. My only regret is not realizing The Harbour bar was also a restaurant. We did end up eating in a more trendy "European" restaurant and did not discover Harbour Bar until after dinner. As a traveler from the US, I would have preferred the old friendly feeling to The Harbour Bar and wish it popped up in a search for restaurants on Google.

A familu friendly place and very welcoming.

A familu friendly place and very welcoming. Plenty to do, with the beach, currys amusements and shops and cafes. The Jet centre and the giants causeway was a short drive and portstewart close by. Lovely place.

Portrush is a very busy wee town.

Portrush is a very busy wee town. It is especially good for families with plenty for all ages to do. 2 lovely beaches, a fair ground and lots of large gaming places. Our favourite place is the Arcadia café. Our hotel is situated nearer to Portrush, however, we liked the relative quietness of Portstewart. So, Portrush is great for families and not quite so good for over 60s.

Nice place to stay because there is railway station.

Nice place to stay because there is railway station. Moreover it is very close to all main attractions in Northern Ireland ( Beach near Downhill, Giants Caseway, Dunluce Castle, Carrick -a- Rede, etc. ) So the location is very convenient for travelling. We had nice walk along the beach ( very wide an d clean ). And we had delicious dinner near the sea side restaurant. Recommanded

The apartment is awesome. It has three large bedrooms, a big sitting area and a full kitchen. The location is great -- it has an unobstructed view of Royal Portrush and the coast in the distance and is a five minute walk to Royal Portrush and 10 mins to city center. There is a super market within 5-10 mins driving distance. The apartment is complete with a full kitchen, dish washer, washer/dryer, etc. The owner was very communicative and informative. In short, a delight to deal with. I will stay here whenever I come back to Portrush.

This boutique hotel was adorable and had been updated and made quite modern. Everything was EXCELLENT! The staff went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. The rooms were so clean and comfortable and the extra touches like fluffy bathrobes and bottles of cold still water went a LONG way. Breakfast was fantastic. Right on the beach, beautiful views, and quite close to Giants Causeway and Bushmills. Would definitely recommend. Would book again!

If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would, we loved staying here. The location is fabulous, it's outside Portrush itself, so it's not ideal if you wish to walk to the town, but its location on the coast is beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and the shower was great. We ate in the restaurant and not only was the food top class but the staff were so helpful and friendly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Portrush, the hotel is clean, tidy, well maintained with good facilities. It feels like you are stopping at home - Good range of traditional English breakfast, fresh and cooked perfectly to order Gary (the owner) and Kate were so friendly and helpful - Could not have helped more and made everything easy. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Breakfast excellent and staff very attentive. The hotel even delayed breakfast for us until 10.30 on Saturday as we do Parkrun (there were 6 of us) and that was great and much appreciated. The room was large, very clean and bed very comfortable, slept really well. The Port Hotel is situate right in the middle of Main Street, Portrush and you couldnt ask for better.

Close proximity to Royal Port Rush golf course The staff here were so friendly and pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. It was a nice touch having the use of the mini bus to drop us into the harbour. I would really recommend this hotel especially to fellow golfers wanting to use the local golf courses. All in all a great stay Thanks everyone Dave

Staff, food, and general atmosphere are all wonderful. This hotel is fantastic for a 3 star. Stayed in a balcony room with a whirlpool bath and a view overlooking the beach and Royal Portrush golf course. Second time we've stayed here and can't fault it in any way. We will be back for a 3rd visit next year. 👌

It was close to everything. Shop across road ,chippy , off license. Lidl just down abit . About a ten minute walk into portrush. The black folder was great it had maps and all local businesses phone numbers eg taxis restaurants. More details in it than you would get if you started in hotel

Spacious place, all updated. Nice amenities - new appliances, coffee/tea and biscuits are left for you. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable, the twin room a bit small but totally fine. Easy walk to town and beaches (10 - 15 min). Nice outdoor space. Portrush is a wonderful beach town to visit.

We have been traveling in Ireland for 3 weeks now, primarily staying at B&Bs, and the amazing breakfasts were the best we had at any B&B or hotel, bar none. they have an excellent budget, but I would strongly recommend opting for their optional menu for a few extra pounds. Must amazing!

Hotel is very quaint, (it appears to have been a church at one time). Breakfast offered was exceptional. Location was a little ways from the center of town but walkable. It was nice being able to walk across the road and take a walking path along the ocean.
